About Ryan Serrano

Ryan Serrano, a talented digital modeler from the Philippines, takes pride in his exceptional skills in creating digital models for films and collectibles. Currently based in New Zealand, he holds the position of modeler/sculptor at WetaFX, where he contributes to the production of CGI characters and creatures for movies. With over a decade of experience in the industry, Ryan has worked in various fields including visual effects, special effects, toy production, and collectibles.

Ryan's journey began after completing his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Advertising Arts at the University of Santo Tomas. He initially worked as a digital artist for local studios involved in film and game development, while simultaneously pursuing freelance projects in the creation of collectible statues. In 2015, he made the decision to venture to New Zealand and further his education. Following his studies, Ryan joined Weta Workshop, where he spent more than five years honing his craft before transitioning to WetaFX.

Throughout his impressive 12-year career in the arts, Ryan has had the privilege of working on renowned brands such as Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, Marvel, DC, Transformers, Disney, James Cameron's Avatar, and many more, whether in the form of films or toy productions.
